Summary: | 碩士 === 大葉大學 === 教育專業發展研究所 === 102 === This study aimed to explore the relations among parenting styles, perfectionism and life satisfaction in adolescence.
There were four hundred ninety-three (250 boys, 243 girls) 7th to 9th grade students in adolescence. Materials were used including (a)Parenting Style Questionnaire (b) Almost Perfection Scale-Revised and (c) Multidimensional Students' Life Satisfaction Scale. The reliability and validity for the instruments were checked and satisfactory. The data collected were analyzed by descriptive statistics, Pearson product-moment correlation, multiple regression analysis and one-way ANOVA analysis.
The research results were summarized as follows:
1.Parenting styles, perfectionism and life satisfaction were significantly associated.
2.Parenting styles could significantly predict both perfectionism and life satisfaction; perfectionism can significantly predict life satisfaction.
3.There were significant differences in perfectionism and life satisfaction. Those who were with perfectionist tendencies had higher life satisfaction than non-perfect tendency ones.
Finally, this study based on research results had discussed and offered
suggestions for future research.
