Summary: | 碩士 === 大葉大學 === 設計暨藝術學院碩士班 === 102 === Traditional Taiwanese bamboo culm furniture was hand-made, it was hard to standardization for flow production. After reviewed related studies, I found that some problems about traditional bamboo culm furniture, including using single connector, lacking structure quality strength testing, producing similar products, and high cost. To fill those gaps, this study adopted epoxy resin as connector to test the strength quality and used 3D printing technology to produce structural parts to connect bamboo culm. Further, I made bamboo culm furniture trial. Comparing to traditional bamboo culm furniture, my bamboo culm chair is more easy made and low cost. The results showed that infusion epoxy resin into bamboo culm could improve the situation that drilling bamboo fiber result in split. Bamboo culms connected together through epoxy resin connector in three trial, 10mm, 20mm, 30mm, the average deviation scores in the range of 15 kg/cm2 did not affect production strength and the minimum scores of vertical testing at 282.1 kg/cm2 destroyed the structure. The strength quality data suitable for use in furniture design. Finally, I used the data to made furniture, I confirming it is stable, proposed variable design approaches, and offered examples for pilot run.
