Regarding this, school sports should continuously stick to this approach by encouraging participation of children and youth in sports and enhancing their physical fitness. The purpose of this study was to understand the participation motivation and satisfaction of elementary track and field team, and to explore the motivation and satisfaction in depth. We hope that the results of this research can provide schools and relevant units information to understand the motivation and satisfaction of the track and field team so that to better promote the track and field sports. The study selected elementary school track and field teams in Chiayi County and gave them questionnaire to fill in, which cover information such as personal information, participation motivation and satisfaction scale. After collecting the questionnaire, statistical software was used to do statistical analysis, including: descriptive statistics analysis, reliability analysis, independent samples t-test, one-way ANOVA, Person correlation analysis and multiple stepwise regression analysis. The study results showed: The participation motivation and satisfaction for elementary school track and field team were highly positive-correlated. And the satisfaction was directly affected by dimensions of participation motivation of elementary school track and field team, and the dominating factor was "health motivation". Based on the findings above, the study suggests that schools and relevant units could better promote the track and field sports by strengthening the health motivation of track and field team and improving individual satisfaction in training performance, letting students participate in track and field practice constantly and making them develop a lifelong sport attitude and laying a good foundation for their positive habits.
