Preference, experience, constraint, and counseling are the four factors encountered in leisure activities with music. The objective of this thesis was to pursue preference, experience, constraint, and counseling encountered in leisure activities with music for vocational senior high school students in Tainan City. Key components in terms of gender, grade, type of school, parents' marital status, monthly allowance, weekly participation, family income, and part-time job have been analyzed to verify what they may contribute on correlations and differences among leisure preferences, leisure experience, leisure constraints, and counseling. The target population was confined to students of vocational senior high schools in Tainan City. Questionnaires were designed and survey was performed. There were 480 copies have been collected and 454 copies were used for data processing. Descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA, and Pearson product moment correlation were implemented for statistical analysis. The main findings of this study can be summarized as followings: 1. The students of vocational senior high schools in Tainan City have medium and higher perception on music leisure preferences, lower and medium perception on leisure constraint and counseling. 2. In terms of music leisure experiences, female students are higher than male ones. 3. Family income has significant differences in terms of preferences and experiences encountered in leisure activities with music. 4. Students of power mechanical group and home economic group have confined to stronger leisure constraints than students of mechanical group and hospitality group. 5. In terms of leisure preference and leisure experiences, public-school students have stronger perception than private-school students. Constraints of leisure activities with music indicate that private-school students stronger than public-school students. 6. Students taking regular part-time jobs in holiday showed stronger music leisure constraints and counseling than students having irregular part-time jobs. 7. Leisure preferences are positive correlated with leisure experiences. Leisure constraints are positive correlated with counseling too. The obtained results can be implemented to promote high quality of education in leisure activities with music.
