Communication on the train over the high speed railway scenario becomes passengers’ needs. Due to more frequent handover in broadband wireless communica- tion in the high speed railway scenario, communication interrupts, while handover could lead to severe performance degrade. In this thesis, we focus on the handover triggered probability. Handover probability and handover failure probability will be derived. More- over, we propose a scheme based on position information and relay assisting to optimize the performance of handover. When the train arrives both overlap area and relay cell, the relay will send an en- hanced signal to the train. This enhanced signal will assist to fit the minimal criterion of the handover.
