IEEE 1541 specification combine the sensors, network, and microcontroller to build a smart sensor network. It will combine the sensing, configuration, calibration, and record data to build the TEDS (Transducer Electronic Data Sheet Table). These data can be managed on the information center. In this thesis, we will build the automated office and access control system based on the secure and reliable networks. In the hardware system implementation, we use the Nuvoton ARM Cortex-M0 microcontroller chip. Design a portable smart transducer interface module(STIM) and infrastructure networks to satisfy the specification of the IEEE 1451. We can detect the TEDS information on the network via the RS-232 interface of the Cortex-Mo microcontroller to the PC computer. The automated office and access control system will be monitored and controlled for comfort and safety.
