Summary: | 碩士 === 中原大學 === 化學工程研究所 === 102 === Since the electrical properties of the surface of the general bactericidal materials is different from the bacterial surface, the dead bacteria will attach to the surface of the bactericidal materials, leading to a loss of bactericidal efficacy after a period of time. As a result, it is a great challenge to overcome this disadvantage.
In this study, we will release the dead bacteria which attached to the surface of the bactericidal materials by interacting the surface between quaternary amine groups and salt solution in a fast, efficiently, and reversibly fashion. And we will also regenerate the surface to kill bacteria again.
The physical and chemical analyses of the surface which interact between quaternary amine groups and salt solution were characterized by contact angle goniometer (CA), X-ray photoeletron spectroscope (XPS), zeta potential analyzer, and ellipsometry. The surface with quaternary amine groups allow attachment and releasing of Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus epidermidis and Stenotrophomonas maltophilia. Finally, the surface with quaternary amine groups for attachment and releasing of protein was measured by surface plasmon resonance.
