The proposed converter presents the characteristics of high step-up ratio and switch voltage clamping. The high step-up ratio is achieved by adjusting the turn ratio of the coupled inductor. Moreover, the energy stored in leakage inductor of the coupled inductor can be recycled during switching off period, then the power switch is effectively clamped and conversion efficiency is improved. In this thesis, the steady-state operation principle of the proposed Zeta converter with coupled inductor is analyzed in detail. Also, the voltage transfer ratio of the proposed converter is derived. Finally, the proposed converter with input 10~16 V and output 36 V/10 W is designed for the demonstration of the performances and feasibility. The simulation results verify that the proposed coupled inductor Zeta converter indeed presents the characteristics of high step-up ratio and switch voltage clamping.
