碩士 === 建國科技大學 === 電機工程系暨研究所 === 102 === Abstract The design applied the invention patent of Length Measurement Equipment to produce an automatic selector to measure shoe size. The purpose of the design provides convenience for customers of shoe stores to select shoe size instantly. Due to the inconvenience of customers to try on different shoe sizes, this invention practically improves this phenomenon. Shoe purchasers place their feet on this measuring device and the shoe size automatic selector displays the most suitable shoe size of the customers. Therefore, the shoe store seller can offer the most fitting shoes for the customers. The design principle makes use of a pair of light-emitter and light-recipient to form a long row space of light fence. When customers place their feet into this space, a section length of light-emitter or light-recipient is blocked automatically. Then, the most fitting shoe size will be interpret via chips and display the most suitable shoe size number on the device.
