Summary: | 碩士 === 中臺科技大學 === 環境與安全衛生工程系碩士班 === 102 === This study is focus on the traditional high-hazardous chemical processes specially on electroststic discharge risk, We plan to cooperate with the ink and paint operational companies. Based on practical concern, we plan to process onsite survey at ten companies and each company will be visited at lowest twice as well. Then we are going to review the most common potential electrostatic discharge (ESD) issue, including charges mitigating measures and charges dispersing equipment, used for preventing electrostatic hazard on ink and paint processes.
Fault tree analysis (FTA) was adopted to explore the possible factors of electrostatic discharge hazard on ink and paint operation. According to results of FTA, we found out the key issues of ESD, such as material, operation environment, equipment and workmen in ink and paint operation. In order to evaluate the risk of ESD in operation manner, we conducted a series onsite and offsite measurement of electrostatic characteristics of above issues. Based on the test results, we could review the efficiency of ESD prevention and protection measures used in ink and paint process.
According study results; the common ESD problems are:(1) The ESD information of materials was insufficient, and most of workers lack of ESD sense、knowledge and training program as well. (2) Due to poor conductivities, most of materials used in both process with highly ESD risk. (3) Most of operators didn’t have or wear the ESD protective equipment. (4)Equipments and their related appliances were not bonding and grounding well. (5)The resistance of working floor was high or the floor was not earthing well. (6) Didn’t monitor and survey the ESD risk of onsite operation, nor to install ESD mitigation measures on ink and paint processes. Besides; FTA could find the potential ESD issues in operation completely. And based on study results we also compile the ESD preventive and control guidance for both operations.
Fault tree analysis (FTA) was a good risk analysis tool to assess the potential ESD risk ink and paint operation. Following the results; We not only found key issues of ESD, but also could get the item which should be measured. According the test information; we reviewed the efficiency of ESD control measures the most common used. Last of all; we compiled the ESD preventive and control guidance for both operation. Hope this study results could help both processes to slove their ESD problem.
