Description
Summary:碩士 === 中臺科技大學 === 食品科技研究所 === 102 === Diatoms are widely distributed in ocean, freshwater, soil and moist surfaces.Studies have investigated the high economic value of fatty acids and carbohydrates from diatoms and shown that diatoms have anticancer and antibacterial effects. In this research, the growth curve at 25 ℃ and 30 ℃ of a diatom strain,Amphora coffeaeformis, was established by separating the diatom clusters with 0.02M EDTA and sonication. We aslo analyzed the contents of extracellular polysaccharides, intracellular carbohydrats, crude lipids and crude proteins at 25 ℃ and 30 ℃. Diatoms can be preserved in culture media or immobilized in sodium alginate for more than six months.
