The purpose of this study is intend to understand the relationship between work satisfaction , commitment to the organization and psychological ownership effects in the staffs of pubic hospital, and analyzes associations between the various variables. Particpants are the working staffs who have been working in the three community public hospitals for three months or more. Data were collected through anonymous, self-administered questionnaire. Contents of the questionnaire include personal background characteristics, questions to measure psychological belonging, working satisfaction and commitment to the organization. Totally 900 questionnaires were issued and 673 returned. However, only 644 cases are valid for this analysis. Valid response rate is 71.6 % Study results show that: background characteristics of wok staffs have significant effects on psychological ownership. Psychological ownership has significantly positive effect on work satisfaction(r=0.545, p<0.01) and commitment to the organization(r=0.599, p<0.01). In terms of gender, male employees have psychological ownership to job satisfaction, significantly lower than women, commitment to the organization not reach significant differences relative; In terms of age, age ≦ 30-year-old employee psychological ownership to job satisfaction is significantly lower than the ≧51-year-old staff, commitment to the organization not reach significant differences relative; In terms of salary, salary ≦ 30 thousand people have psychological ownership to commitment to the organization, significantly lower than the ≧ 50 thousand of employees, work satisfaction not reach significant differences; In terms of personnel category , psychological ownership to wok satisfaction and commitment to the organization is significantly lower in physicians than nursing staffs; In terms of seniority, the seniority of employees for one year or less, thepsychological ownership of work satisfaction is significantly lower than ≧10 years of staff , commitment to the organization not reach significant differences relative.The remaining predictors is not reached relatively significant difference.
