Summary: | 碩士 === 中國醫藥大學 === 中國藥學暨中藥資源學系碩士班 === 102 === Nelumbinis Stamen is the dried stamen of Nelumbo nucifera Gaertn. (Fam Nymphaeaceae). This study evaluated the morphology identification, quality controls, active ingredients quantitative analysis, and safety of Nelumbinis Stamen, and investigated the relevant differences of between Taiwan''s commercial products and local medicinal material. External morphological traits, TLC, HPLC and antioxidant activity were compared between Nelumbinis Stamen and a commonly mistaken stamen of Nymphaea tetragona Georgi. The results of external morphological traits for Nelumbinis Stamen is linear, for stamen of Nymphaea tetragona Georgi is long strip. After spraying with aluminium trichloride solution, kaempferol and astragalin, a blue band (Rf value = 0.75) and a yellow band (Rf value = 0.21) were observed under UV light at 366 nm on the TLC plate. The quantities of astragalin, kaempferol, isorhamnetin and quercetin in Nelumbinis Stamen were quantitized by HPLC with a good reproducibility, stability and accuracy. Analysis of aflatoxins and pesticide residues in 20 batches of samples, none of the batches contain aflatoxins, 16 batches were suspected to contain pesticide residues. The antioxidant activities were compared between Nelumbinis Stamen and stamen of Nymphaea tetragona Georgi, and found that the stamen of Nymphaea tetragona Georgi, exhibited better antioxidant activities The result of this study would serve as a reference for indentifying Nelumbinis Stamen and provide reference for policy making and people working in TCM field.
