Summary:碩士 === 中華大學 === 營建管理學系碩士班 === 102 === The concept that the disused space at home and abroad reused has been gradually perfect in recent time, and "activation" of the monuments or "Recirculation phenomenon” of the historic buildings is a positive and the lifestyle of preservation strategy. The disused spaces along North-South Railway have multiple reused conditions, and “The 20th Railway Art Warehouse” located at Taichung station which the Council for Cultural Affairs (CCA) rents to Taiwan Railway Administration (TRA) is one of representation. This research aims to realize the condition to manage “Stock 20” and its pros and cons, and provide the referential strategy for Taichung city’s reuse of disused space after they elevated the railway by our experiences about reuse of disused space. This research is through collecting, reading the related literature and works about reuse of disused spaces for the basis of our theory, analyzes the pros and cons of management strategy, and then summarizes the management Strategies of "the 20th Railway Art Warehouse" for improvement as follows through questionnaires: (1) Emphasize its artistic charm (2) Promote cultural and creative commodities for the operating direction (3) Strengthen the propaganda of the Stock 20(4) Mix the development of elevated and activated railway. The research could be the reference for public and private departments to solve the problems correctly. Another‘s good quality or suggestion may be used to remedy one’s own mistake. We hope our research could provide the old railway station of Taichung city with the strategy about reuse of disused space for reference after the railway elevated by making monuments, history, culture and urban development better in the meantime.
