Science learning usually requires cooperative learning. The learning efficiency of students can be improved by grouping them according to their familiarity with Google Sites. Students are grouped according to their interpersonal relationship style. Furthermore, the students edit their physics and chemistry projects on Google Sites. Therefore, this study expects to explore the influence of interpersonal relationship style and Google Sites on learning performance. This research applied a quasi-experimental design. The subjects of this study are the 84 second-grade students in a Taichung junior high school The subjects were divided into three groups: Random Group, Distant Group, and Intimate Group and conduct 6-week classes about “Light Refraction” of Physics and Chemistry. Before the classes, the subjects were grouped according to Peer Nomination Scale. Data were collected by achievement tests administered by the teacher after the classes and by questionnaire surveys of their experience using Google Sites. The study showed that the achievement test scores were higher in the Distant Group than in the Intimacy Group. Learning performance was not moderated by internet self-efficiency. High degree for perceived ease of use or perceived usefulness were associated with high interest in Google Sites; students with high interest in Google Sites had high scores for learning performance. Students with high scores for internet self-efficiency had high scores for perceived ease of use and for perceived usefulness of Google Sites. The earlier students start to use the internet, the more easily they get the hang of Google Sites. This study suggests that teachers can group students who are distant to each other in the future. Besides, education institutions or teachers should take into accounts the Internet self-efficiency of the students, the students’ perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness toward Google Sites. Further studies in larger samples using more data resources and over a longer period are needed to explore changes in interpersonal relationships.
