Summary:碩士 === 中華大學 === 資訊工程學系碩士班 === 102 === With the increasing use of high-speed Internet technologies during the past few years, the concept of cloud computing has become more popular. Users start to store their favorite software, file or data in wide-spread devices like NASs in homes/offices and Dropbox or similarities in cloud. In addition to storage usage, there are also many kinds of IP-enabled devices, like IPCam, that are installed publicly by governments or ISPs or privately by users themselves, and can be used by Internet users. In traditional operating systems, users may encounter some problems in using and installing software or hardware. For example, users may encounter the compatibility problem of a software or hardware installed in different version of operating systems. The user interfaces of software may be changed with different versions installed in different operating systems. Even the user interfaces of the same kinds of operating systems of different versions may be changed too. As a result, an integrated interface with zero-configuration, invisible networking, and automatic discovery seems to be necessary for providing a friendly Internet computing environment. In this paper, we propose a cloud operating system architecture that runs in web browser. With this system, users can easily choose, install and use the web-based application and UPnP devices.
