However, some problems such as data stealing and privacy revealing are derivative. To solve these problems, technologies of digital right management (DRM) arise therefore. Nevertheless, DRM can only verify data from software, but verify software from data. Moreover, although applying trusted platform module (TPM) can also achieve the system security, it does not offer the protection that DRM provides. Motivated by the mentioned problems, we propose a version control system which not only provide the function of DRM, but also satisfy the software’s version requirement from data. Via version inspection, this system only permits secure operating systems and applications to access secret keys in crypto components, and uses the secret keys to protect and manage right objects.
