This study proposes a frequency domain CFO coarse estimation algorithm using a conventional ICI-self-cancellation scheme precoded OFDM symbol. The proposed approach uses a set of spectral linear filters to find the CFO coarse estimate through comparisons of the filter output magnitudes. Computer simulations show that the proposed algorithm can effectively extend the CFO tolerance of the ICI-self-cancellation precoded OFDM, apart from an improvement in the performance of data decoding.
