While tourism is an integrated business with multi-goals, 「Tourist hotel」 is one of the most critical elements. As for Taiwan, known as Formosa, 「Tourism is the only industry which would not go away.」 The purpose of this study was to investigate: correlation between tourist hotels business strategy and top management team characteristic to the operating performance. This study uses regression analysis to explore and finds that: 1. Business strategy and tourist hotels operating performance are part correlated. 2. The ages and the years of service experience of Top Management Team and the operating performance are negative correlated. 3. The years of industry related experience of Top Management Team and the operating performance is positive correlated. 4. The level of education and the availability of foreign work experience of the Top Management Team and the operational performance is not correlated. Recommended tourist hoteliers to launch creative activities and products to stimulate the market, to ally with the same industry and the different trades to activate tourism, and to active use of talents in non-related fields, so as to enhance management and improved operational performance and create employment opportunities.
