Summary: | 碩士 === 國立中正大學 === 資訊管理學系暨研究所 === 102 === According to the National Credit Card Center (NCCC) member banks’ card issuing fraud volume report in 2013, the total amount of fraud is NT$328,320,025(not actual loss) including the card types from U Card, VISA, MasterCard and JCB Card. Though the amount of fraud slightly decreases from 2012, the number of fraud has not stopped from soaring, which requires to execute an effective prevention mechanism.
The objective of this study, the evaluation of applying biometric identification into credit card authorization process, is to use the behavioral and physiological models of the biological features, including human bodies, tissues and organs for identification in order to prevent the identity fraud and increase the safety and credibility of identification. This study adapted facial recognition technology of biometric identification, which exceeds others in features database extraction technology, feature sampling density, resistance, external influence factors, speed of identification, contact method and safety. Applying the facial recognition to prevent the surge of credit card fraud and it features two advantages from activeness and non-contact, which is suitable for the process of credit card transaction to identify the original cardholder and to reduce the prevalence of credit card fraud. This study utilized experiment data and questionnaire survey to analyze the intention to incorporate facial recognition technology into credit card process.
