Summary: | 碩士 === 國立中正大學 === 成人及繼續教育研究所 === 102 === The research aims to discuss how the association of the Society of Wilderness
(SOW) take the human resources development strategies to cultivate their voluntary
lecturers as well as promoting services. The study applies methods of qualitative
studies, taking SOW Taichung Branch as research targets. The study also adopts the
method of semi-unstructured interview and document analysis to interview 7
voluntary lecturers who continuously participate in the association affair promoting
and spread. The result of the study could be summed up into 7 conclusions as the
statements below:
1. Due to the fact that the recruit of voluntary lecturers is lack of proper
volunteers-selection procedures, the association affair promotion of SOW Taichung
branch thus are affected.
2. SOW Taichung branch cultivates the voluntary lecturers through periodic and
systemized lectures.
3. To involve the mentoring system into the voluntary lecturers cultivation could
promote the participation of voluntary lecturers.
4. The assessment of efficiency of the voluntary lecturers is not suitable for the
present situation of SOW Taichung branch, which affects the quality of the
association affair promoting and spread.
5. There are the professional knowledge and skills gaps between what the cultivation
activity offers and what the voluntary lecturers really need.
6. The supports of SOW Taichung branch are inefficient, which affect the willingness
for the voluntary lecturers to continue their volunteering.
7. The voluntary lecturers' different levels of nature knowledge and preparation
affect the quality of the lectures for association affair promoting and spread.
The researcher thus provides 2 suggestions toward the cultivation system of
voluntary lecturers according to the above conclusions:
1. To strengthen the ability to promote and spread the association affairs, the
voluntary lecturers shall continue their learning after they get their lecturers
qualification.
2. To maintain the quality of association affair promoting and spread, the voluntary
lecturers shall still make full preparation before they start their volunteering service.
Furthermore, the researcher brings up 5 suggestions towards SOW Taichung
branch itself.
1. To make sure the participation goals of the volunteers and the association are the
same by building up the proper volunteer-selection procedures.
2. To support the new voluntary lecturers by the experienced voluntary lecturers'
service-experience shares and rear-end supports.
3. To reach the check goals by providing the necessary professional abilities to the
checkers.
4. To ensure the quality of association affair promoting and spread by developing
voluntary lecturers' periodic examination and walk-off mechanism.
5. To maintain the continuous participation of the voluntary lecturers by offering the
volunteers learning and development chances.
The last but not the least, the research suggests the future researchers could
make the further research basing on the conclusion of this study and could take the
method of Action Research to give practical feedback to the topic of voluntary
lecturers' human resource development.
