Summary: | 碩士 === 元智大學 === 管理碩士在職專班 === 101 === Since the domestic market of telecommunication industries become highly competitive, along with the development of smart phones, the system providers have completed the network setup. Both data dependency application and data service have become a new opportunity and direction to increase the revenue of telecommunication carrier. Due to the demand of the field in data services, application services and necessities of smart phone, these require more professional service and ability to meet the client’s demand. Therefore, the telecommunication carriers have been launching the strategy of expanding direct stores actively and to satisfy the demand of various clients unto different services to meet the needs for direct stores which could be further classified as specialization, innovation and localization.
Expanding and setting up direct stores is costly to telecommunication carrier, especially when the performance of direct store has not reached the output of the value target, meanwhile, the telecommunication carrier still needs to bear 2 major costs of the direct store --- rental expenses and personnel costs. Therefore, the three major telecommunication carriers have their own manipulation and implementation strategy.
In this study, we found 3 major considerations on manpower planning of a direct store of telecommunication channel were organization commitment, training program and personnel costs. These 3 factors influence the strategy planning, operation management and performance.
As to the result of this study, we recommend the direct store should take the manpower planning issue as a long term strategy, a complete personnel training program is critical to enhance the ability of a core service and reinforce its competitiveness to the market.
