To improve the quantity of image, we increase number of scanning sheet. However, it causes people to expose to excessive radiation. Besides, we are worth studying in depth for how much radiation dose of the cardiac and surrounding critical organs get.The purpose of this study is to estimation of radiation dose and induced cancer risk for coronary angiography Multi-Slice Computed Tomography. Compared with radiation dose of using the ECG gating. The experiments to get the radiation dose in anthropomorphic Alderson-Rando phantom. Thermoluminescent dosimeters (TLD-100:thin type) were used in this study. TLDs were inserted or pasted on the Rando phantom, and the doses were estimated in critical organs or tissue of whole body, then the effective dose could be calculated according to the equivalent dose with tissue weighted factor of ICRP 60 and ICRP 103 report. In the results of this study, assuming the subjects in the best condition to maintain cardiac rate 60-70 times/min, with ECG gating for coronary artery scan can be reduced up to 58 % of the radiation dose. In the future, the doctor diagnosed to the patients with coronary artery disease can be carried out for database integration, to keep track of its related treatment, in order to obtain correct and objective results.
