Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立雲林科技大學 === 全球運籌管理研究所碩士班 === 101 === In recent years, Taiwan''s medical industry is becoming increasingly competitive, and is facing the pressure of its operating cost and results. Establishing a good partnership between medical institutions and suppliers has become a crucial factor in medical supply chain management. Past research shows that opportunism has always existed in commercial relationships, because not everyone is honest and reliable. Hence, if one party becomes opportunistic, it will inevitably cause many problems for the other, including the increase of transaction cost. Exploring the cause of failure of the partnership is currently an issue of much importance. A lot of research shows that opportunism is one of the key factors that leads to failed partnerships. During the cooperation period of hospitals and suppliers, if the suppliers shows behavior of opportunism, the first-hand victims are usually the patients. Therefore, this research wishes to delve into the causes of opportunistic suppliers from the perspective of value gaps and information gaps between hospitals and suppliers, and also from potential punishment of hospitals. Furthermore, we probe into how opportunism among suppliers affect loyalty in hospitals. We sent out 517 questionnaires to the hospital and supplier of study, and the results indicates that value gaps and information gaps between hospitals and suppliers is clearly related to whether suppliers will become opportunistic or lean towards opportunism; the larger the information gap between both parties are, the opportunism of suppliers will affect the loyalty of hospitals towards suppliers.
