碩士 === 國立雲林科技大學 === 文化資產維護系碩士班 === 101 === Salt industry, the unique scenery in Taiwan south-western coast area where relays on agricultural, the fishing and the salty through the time of Ming the Zheng, Qing Dynasty, Japan Dominion and Taiwan Government, has brought great influence to the village development. This study was conducted in the salt-pan of Tainan, the first saltern in Taiwan. The purpose is to explore the salt industry’s importance on the village development, understand its’ effect among field, society and history and try to frame the original life and culture form. Due to the impact of changed environment nearby the Tainan city and the conflicted policy from the government, lack of literature and record has been caused. Therefore, this study used historiography and literature, especially the documents and pictures of Japan Dominion period, to rebuild the industry background. Also, used “field work” to involve into the salt-pan of Tainan to grasp life way and the culture inheritance, at last to construct the cultural heritage value. The historic resources show, even some external factors, such as society and environment, has affected this area, the salt-pan of Tainan keeps developing and saving the uniqueness that belonged to the three ruled phrases. Surrounded by YanCheng Road, Peigei Tample and Grand Matsu Temple, the salt-pan of Tainan stays the shape of Japan Dominion. Even though the salt industry has faded, the space still links to the culture and belief, passes down the life experience and customs. Despite the fading of salt industry alters the salt-pan of Tainan, villagers are aroused to care this land and recall the history. Thinking of the culture values, importance and emotion through learning, believing and land setting. This study aims on the relationship between the salt-pan of Tainan and culture heritage in the end. By literature, field work and Lefbevre theory, it brings the light to the salt-pan of Tainan, that is constructing culture heritage value to create the opportunity and possibility.
