Summary: | 碩士 === 國立雲林科技大學 === 建築與室內設計系碩士班 === 101 === The study focuses on the migration and development of Hakka people at Baihe district in Tainan. Baihe District is located in the northeast of Tainan. Plains aborigines were the original residents, later with migration during the Ching dynasty and Min and Kakka settlers also started to move in. Between 1895 and 1945, as Taiwan was Japan''s overseas colony, the majority of Hakka population was concentrated in northern Taiwan in Taoyuan, Hsinchu, and Miadi counties, and they began to move into Baihe District for work. Base on the migration and development of Baihe District in Tainan, the study is discussed in the following three parts.
I. Natural Environment And Cultural And Human Factors
The development of human settlement is closely influenced by the natural environment and culture and human factors. Studying historical documentary and maps to begin understand the characteristics of Baihe district and by analyzing social and cultural background to exam the history and social development.
II. Construction Of Social Space
Based on Hakka immigrants’ gathering in Baihe district, the study is going to discuss the population distribution, consanguinity, and common property for ancestor worship to concrete Hakka people’s social construction in Baihe district.
III. Construction Of Ethnic Gathering
According to Hakka people’s living boundaries, the study divides this area into living space, industry space, religion space, and traffic system to talk about Hakka people’s specialty.
Conclude with the three factors of Hakka immigrants gathering’s development in Baihe district, and ethical value is reflected from the elements of Hakka immigrants’ living space. Finally, the study would provide the evaluation of this research and the latest research guidance.
