Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立雲林科技大學 === 視覺傳達設計系碩士班 === 101 === When we say that "my happiness" is the same as "fish''s enjoyment", it refers to a person’s emotional identification with other objects. Just like when Zhuangzi was watching the fish and claimed that the fish was delighted, it is merely a projection of a person’s self-perception. "Happiness" is an elusive feeling that can bloom in your mind in a wink. Everyone may have their own true happiness, although it is only a short-term memory that won’t last long, but it is the value of life that people at all time are yearning for. The purpose of this creation is to establish the image of happiness from all the originators. In addition to collecting happy memories and stories in life as materials, the artist also searches for the definition of happiness within in moderation and presents the outcome by transforming them into a form of visual literacy. This creation gathered and analyzed the imagery of depicting fish’s enjoyment and surrealistic performance practices in poems of the Tang Dynasty. After fundamental analysis based on the creation theory, it is found that poets use sense, personification and poetic exaggeration to reflect the connotation hidden in their mind. Therefore this creative practice will reflect the intuitive feelings of the artist by a visual vocabulary transformed by such understanding of happiness through the synthesis of surrealistic visual images. The theme of this creation will be based on the connotation of positive psychology, which will be further extended to seven series of synthesized visual works. The analysis of image construction will also be constructed with a focus on the attributes of the series of works.
