Based on the difference, people are more likely to have misunderstandings and conflicts.
By systematically analyzing the nine different senses, thoughts, and behavior models in depth, enneagram is commonly used as the standard for employers to evaluate the characteristics of their employees. This creation aims to discuss the differences among personality traits, hoping to enhance mutual understanding, so as to achieve the goal as Lao Tsu said, “he who understand the world is learned; he who understands himself is enlightened.”
The content of creation is developed on the basis of the Enneagram theory, attempting to transform it into visualization. By retracing back to the essence in the elements of geometric shapes, and to extend the corresponding figures, a series of visual language is created. This series proceeds in two stages: the first stage is a sorting of Enneagram theory and geometric shapes; and the second stage is to collect focus group''s adjective descriptions on three categories of enneagram, and to choose the geometric shapes that corresponding to personality traits, to construct visual language and a principle of design.
The theme of creation is named in a special character in Chinese, meaning “three is a crowd”, and the structure is developed on the basis of Enneagram theory, which includes rationality, sensitivity, and action, and each of them contains three types of characteristics. In conclusion, this creation presents a total of fifteen posters, which includes nine positive traits and six negative traits, hoping to arouse echo in the audiences’ hearts through exhibition.
