The pollutants not only have an impact on the source areas, but also influence the air quality in other areas through long-range transport. Therefore, Taiwan, in the downwind of the East of Asian, often gets fine particle pollution from long-range transport, besides its own. In order to evaluate the influence of long-range air pollutants from Asia to the ozone concentrations in Taiwan, this study run a year-long simulation with Community Multiscale Air Quality Modeling System to analyze the impact of Asian emissions in 2007 to the fine particulate concentrations and control factors in Taiwan. Then, this study uses the no outside emissions (Out-Zero) and no local emission (Zero-Out) to explore the regional influence of long-range transport on fine particle concentration of Taiwan. Out-Zero is the difference of simulation results between considering and not-considering the emission of source. On the other hand, Zero-Out does not consider the emission of experimental region; Namely, this model assumes the emission of experimental region is zero, and all the air pollutants is transported from long-range region to experimental region directly. Finally, this study discusses the reason of the difference of the two simulation models. First, both the simulation results of Out-Zero and Zero-Out show the most impact season of air pollutants from Asia to the fine particle concentrations in Taiwan in 2007 is winter. Second, this study discusses the contribution of fine particle sources in 2007 in Taiwan. Fine particle of Taiwan mainly from Taiwan itself contribution.
