In order not to affect the pedaling motion, the surface area of bicycle saddles are smaller than general seat, and thus generates a large pressure on buttsocks. The purpose of this research is to provide a reasonable and effective reference criterion for domestic bicycle industries. By using the finite element analysis, the deformation of saddle with different parameters during pedaling can be calculated by computer simulaion. The result of simulation will be compared with the data from the experiment, examinate the accuracy of simulation. The simulation is done by ANSYS finite element analysis software.
