Therefore, we implemented a duplex free space optical communication system based on white LED lighting, and the multiple-input multiple-output technology was introduced to improve the throughput and the signal bit error rate on this system. Free space optical communication system is different from traditional communication system. Though we can use concepts that are similar to traditional RF system to realize multiple-input multiple-output wireless communication system, the wavelength of LED lightening is relatively short and different from that in RF system, for the wavelength in radio system is comparable to its equipment. Therefore, when using optical communication to realize multiple-input multiple-output communication, the implementation is different from that of RF system.
