It would cause to the draught or heavy rain which makes the water supply volume of the reservoir becomes irregular. The sensitivity of water shortage of the public has risen gradually. The purpose of this research is to provide a better solution by design for public to adapt water shortage especially on household products. And lighten the cost of the load of water infrastructure in Taiwan. This research collected the water usage at the water shortage areas in the whole world and compared the different from them to find the better usage for Taiwan. At present, the proportion of household water in Taiwan is 25% for laundry, 25% for kitchen, 21% for bathing, 21% for toilet, and 8% for the others. There are lots of the water saving products for laundries and toilets. However, we lacked for the designs of kitchen to save water. In addition, among all the products in kitchen are base on the premise of convenience. The water usages of products are not connecting together. We should build the connections of the water usages with all the products in the same space, hence the users can save water in naturally. This research will develop design rules to link each cookers, build the usage of water using for each product and rise up the efficiency of water in kitchen. And here are 3 suggestions below: 1. In terms of products designing, we should consider the water usages of the products with other products from start to finish. 2. In terms of products using, we should draw up the better ways to using water. Reusing the water and use it in efficiently. Washing the products from clean ones to the oily ones and saving the reusable water from the process to wash the oiliest ones. 3. In terms of products selling, we should developing and selling the products with a complete series. Hence, we can provide a best water saving environment to our consumers.
