Summary: | 碩士 === 環球科技大學 === 環境資源管理所 === 101 === In order to slow down the global warming effects, advanced countries of the world are all committed to the development and utilization of the related green energy such as wind, hydro and solar energy. Since the electric energy is one of the most convenient to use, how efficiently to convert green energy into electricity for people, has become an important issue around the world. Hydraulic potential is the richest green energy in Taiwan. But the large-scale development of reservoir-type power plants is limited by external factors such as terrain.
This study refers to the theory of “water vortex power systems” as a new small hydropower technology in European countries, and develops a “water vortex power system” which is suitable for the existing small flow system in Taiwan (such as irrigation channels, etc.). So the present small hydropower technologies in Taiwan may be strengthened.
According to the experiments from the small “water vortex generation system” designed by this study, the results show that the sizes of the hole in the vortex tank bottom, different sections of the water channel, the amount of the generators and the quantity of flow will affect the formation of the water vortex, thereby affect the generation of the power. This study attempts to identify the relationship between each other for subsequent researches and practical applications.
