During this period, there were a sevear Aeolian Dust happened on November 2nd, 2009, and a dust Storm event during March 21st to 22nd, 2010. In order to understand the chemical compositions of suspended particulate matters, and the degree of contribution from sources, analysis of mass concentrations, water-soluble ions, and trace elements were carried out. In the early morning of November 2nd, 2009, a strong gaze raised a lot of dusts from the naked bed region of Zho-shui River. It caused a seriously effect on the air quality of Yun-lin region. The level of PM10 was 4 to 7 times higher than usual. Among the species analyzed, Ca2+ detected nine times higher, and crustal Al, Mg, and Ca increased several times. Other trace elements measured were also shown an increasing level at this aeolian dust event. Through the fingerprint analysis of Al/Zn、Fe/Zn、Ca/Zn ratio, major crustal species came from the aeolian dusts of Zho-shui River. The values of Fe/(Fe+Al+Ca+Mg)% in PM10, i.e. 30% for Tai-xi Station, 26% for Dou-liu, and the ratios of Al/ Pb, Fe/ Pb, and Ca/Pb both indicated that the dust event impacted much more in the Tai-xi area than in Dou-liu. During the period of 21st to 22nd March, 2010, a sand storm that tracked inversely from Mongolia, arrived in Taiwan via Jiangsu area of China. At the sampling area, a six times higher level of PM10 mass was detected. Rich amounts of Al, Fe, Ca, Mg, Mn and Sr elements were also found at the time. In the find mode of particulate matters, Pb showed a significant increase. Rich water-soluble ions, Ca2+, SO42-, NO3- , were found in coarse mode. However, a reduction of NH4+ in fine mode was measured. It reaveled that insufficient ammonium resulted in a growth of acid aerosols during the dust storm event. keywords:Aeolian Dust, Dust Storms, water-soluble ions、trace elements、PM10 Meng-Chen Chung 鍾孟臻 2013 學位論文 ; thesis 179 zh-TW
