Summary: | 碩士 === 台南應用科技大學 === 音樂系碩士班 === 101 === The purpose of this study is to explore the interpretation and discussion of Wan-Jen Huang’s percussion duet "Intersect." This study was researched through interviews with composer. The music used Ternary form, A-B-A’-coda. The music was fusion of Neoclassicism music, Impressionist music, and jazz music. It was using classical counterpoint with Cross rhythm, the percussion music presented a new and refined feature.
This study was divided into five chapters. The first chapter was an introduction which included motivation and purpose of the study and discussion of the structure and methods. The second chapter discussed the composer’s personal background and compositions. They contained some recently famous compositions. The third chapter analyzed the creative background and base of "Intersect." Besides, it also extended to discuss the musical feature with Neoclassicism music, Impressionist music, and jazz music. The fourth chapter interpreted the analyses of form of music and the structure of "Intersect." It showed the feature of structure and annotation and instrument arrangement. The fifth chapter was the conclusion. Through to those analysis above, it also contained the sharing of author''s performent experience.
