To generate L1 and L2 bands of the GPS signal, the antenna contains two square rings. To achieve the circular polarization, each square ring is coupled by a semi-annular microstrip line through the air-layer and the two semi-annular microstrip lines are serially connected. By adjusting the relative position between each square ring and the antenna, good CP performance can be obtained.
