In this thesis, an MDLS (Multi-Protocol Dual-Stack Label Switching) based IPv4/IPv6 Dual Stack-Lite mechanism has been proposed to achieve the dual structure in a simple mechanism. Through the high efficiency of packet transmission of the MDLS, the transmission delay caused by dismantling the packet in the Dual-Stack Lite architecture can be compensated. .The experimental results show that an acceptable performance can be achieved by applying the proposed simple architecture.
