The adsorbent used is unmodified 5A zeolite. In the experiment, the experimental variables are the experimental temperature, the pH of aqueous solution, and the concentrations of solutes. Both adsorption kinetics experiments and adsorption isotherm experiments were conducted. The single component adsorption kinetic data were fitted by the pseudo first-order model, pseudo second-order model, and the Elovich model. The benzoic acid adsorption kinetic data were suitable for the pseudo first-order model at different temperatures. At pH 3 and pH 11, the competitive adsorption of dye reduced the adsorption amounts of benzoic acid. The adsorption capacity of Acid dye-yellow by 5A zeolite is greater than that of benzoic acid, but the required adsorption time of acid dye-yellow is longer.
