碩士 === 臺北巿立體育學院 === 運動教育研究所 === 101 === Since basketball is a team sport, a point guard plays a significant leading role during the game; she has to interpret the coach’s signals and give orders to the teammates, which forms a relationship between the leading and the led. This study focused on the leadership of a point guard to explore how the point guard interacted with the coach and the teammates in the games, and aimed to reconstruct the leading process of the point guard through the narrative inquiry. The main participant of this study was an experienced basketball player from the Women’s Super Basketball League, and had been chosen for the National team in Taiwan. The data included in-depth interviews with the participant, the observation and field notes during the study, as well as journals the researcher wrote during the study along with some relevant records and documents. Narrative analysis and thematic analysis were applied to the data. Then the collected data and the research text from multiple aspects were examined through member check and peer examination. Besides, audit trail and expressing reseacher’s stance were also used to enhance trustworthiness. The study concluded that the team interaction was built on “-ships,” such as kinship, mentorship, and friendship, through which, they would invent symbols understood to them only.
