However, leisure research state that leisure experience with multi-aspects of leisure behavior is not constrained or limited by economic or social status. The purpose of the study is to investigate leisure experience and behavior of homeless individuals with disabilities and explore the potential relationship among leisure behavior, quality of life and self-image. Twelve homeless individuals with disabilities in Taiwan were in-depth interviewed for eighteen months. Constant comparison was employed to analyze the qualitative Information by using the software QSR NVivo 7. The results challenged residual welfare model and identified that homeless individuals with disabilities shared similar values of leisure experience with general population. The study suggests that appropriate leisure interventions or arrangements may be a possible approach to help homeless individuals with disabilities to improving quality of life, appreciating self, and having a better self-image.
