Description
Summary:碩士 === 臺北巿立體育學院 === 休閒運動管理學系碩士班 === 101 === The purpose of this study is to discuss the current status of and correlations among passion in sport, intrinsic motivation, as well as anxiety of collegiate athletes and further analyze whether the intrinsic motivation and anxiety of collegiate athletes can predict their passion in sports. The Chinese Passion Scale, Intrinsic Motivation Scale and Chinese Three-Factor Anxiety Inventory were adopted as measurements. The research targets are collegiate athletes in Taiwan and were sampled purposively. Total of 382 valid questionnaires were collected. The results are as follows: 1. Collegiate athletes have moderate to high passions in the sports they specialized in and such passion is majorly harmonious passion. Collegiate athletes who are lack of confidences on their specialties may demonstrate higher obsessive passion. The higher harmonious passion owned by collegiate athletes, the better they perform; while collegiate athletes with higher obsessive passion tend to perform relatively poor. 2. Collegiate athletes have moderate to high intrinsic motivation while engaging in their specialties. The intrinsic motivation of collegiate athletes would grow as they obtain higher achievements or participate in higher competition level. Better self-evaluated collegiate athletes would have higher intrinsic motivation. 3. Collegiate athletes in higher competition levels or have higher achievements tend to be more cognitively anxious while better self-evaluated collegiate athletes tend to have higher cognitive, physical, and regulatory dimension of anxiety. 4. The harmonious passion of overall collegiate athletes is positively correlated to their intrinsic motivation while obsessive passion is negatively correlated to the intrinsic motivation yet both the correlations are not significant. The harmonious passion of elite athletes is positively correlated to their intrinsic motivation while obsessive passion is negatively correlated to the intrinsic motivation, and still both the correlations are not significant. 5. The harmonious passion of overall collegiate athletes has significant negative correlation with their cognitive and physical anxiety. The harmonious passion of elite athletes has negative correlation with their cognitive and physical anxiety as well as positive correlation with regulatory dimension of anxiety while only the correlation between harmonious passion and cognitive anxiety is significant. 6. The harmonious passion can be negatively predicted by the cognitive anxiety of elite athletes while the regulatory dimension of anxiety and intrinsic motivation can positively predict the harmonious passion of collegiate athletes.
