Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺北藝術大學 === 美術學系碩士班美術史組 === 101 === The purpose of this thesis is making the research of Hiroshi Sugimoto, the Japanese modern-day photographer. There are many researches in Hiroshi Sugimoto’s creations in different views, such as “Conceptual Art”, “Minimal Art”, “Essential of Photography”, and “Zen”. This article is mainly based on “Time Exposed”, the esthetics reviews collection of Hiroshi Sugimoto, and the interviews and speeches of Hiroshi Sugimoto in different occasions as the researching referral to analyze and include the esthetics of the artist, and also making the comparison of Hiroshi Sugimoto’s work with other people’s paintings or philology works plus the writer’s view to make the imagination and annotation.
Chapter 1 and 2 are mainly about the description and data collection to provide the background information of Hiroshi Sugimoto and to understand the origins of artist’s esthetics thinking and seeking the position in the history of photography. Since the Chapter 3, the writer uses a more freedom and imaginative way to include the common factors of artist’s creations, and also makes the comparison between the photography works of the artist and other people’s paintings and philology works and then includes the similarities to make the imagination and annotation of the artist’s creations. In the last, the writer makes the summary conclusion in the final Chapter.
