What would life be if human organs, if human cells were as simple as the components of a machine? Those components would be formed by many specific elements and could be stacked, mixed, assembled, deconstructed. I focused on the meaning of components as elements which can be disassembled and substituted. I also thought about the reprocessing of and the relationships between each component. Remixing and reproducing those components moved them to another space, different from our real world, through warping and adorning. First, I made many components which looked like machine parts, and form the basic elements of my world. Then I used silk screening to print them on the page again and again. During the process, the components started to mesh together, forming new ones. Repeating the process, the new ones were transformed into newer components still. As a result this world of mine expanded more and more, growing larger and larger. The variations existing in this world would be endless. I gradually built up my world in this manner. 董振平 2013 學位論文 ; thesis 85 zh-TW
