碩士 === 國立臺南藝術大學 === 動畫藝術與影像美學研究所 === 101 === The purpose of study is to discuss the (Anti-) Myth Images base on the historical in Taiwan, including Taiwan New Cinema, Post-New Cinema and the alternative media in a counter-culture. Like Daughter of the Nile in1987, Green Team’s Documentary, and Treasure Island in1993, Flat Type in1998. The products all show how’s the transformation process from “struggle” to “struggling” in Taiwan Political history. It’s possible also to think about the relationship between the Political Myth and Religious Myth. An important part of (Anti-) Myth Images in this study is to reconstruct some of the statements concerning Taiwan films and makers by previous researchers. The focus would be mainly on Stan Lai’s The Red Lotus Society in 1994. The Red Lotus Society trilogy fits into the postmodern context in its form, and stresses how anti-myth works in the content. This study is divided into five chapters: (1)Introduction: Demystifying Myth and Defining (Anti-) Myth (2) (Anti-) Myth Images in the genealogical spectrum of Taiwan cinema, (3) (Anti-) Myth Images in The Red Lotus Society (4)The roles and marginal in The Red Lotus Society, (5) Conclusion
