碩士 === 國立臺南藝術大學 === 造形藝術研究所 === 101 === Europeans in Australia changed the definition of swans because of the appearance of a black one and then they no longer assumed that white swans were the only existence in the world. For every, “The Black Swan” refers to those things that can have some impacts or changes, e.g. a line of text, a video, or a scene; they are unexpected but amazing just like the black swan. Unexpected incidents can be divided into three factors- the people, the time, and the object, which are intertwined with each other; any changes in them will affect the essence of the incidents. If the unexpected incidents are manipulated by the people, the objects are designed and unnatural. There are five chapters in this thesis, including preface and conclusion. In chapter two, chapter three, and chapter four, I discuss the relationship about unexpected incidents of my artistic creation through motivation, procedure, and result. I give some examples through my works in 2009-2013 and make some reflections about “Unexpected incidents”.
