| Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺南藝術大學 === 應用藝術研究所 === 101 === The creative process is an amazing journey, the beginning and end of which are shrouded in mystery. Moreover, while past experiences and habits have been an indispensible source of inspiration, the learning and personal growth I have undergone over the years have also broadened my vision.
I named the different sections of the artist’s statement after the changing landscape and memories of my own life. Section one is titled “Man Made – Feast” and discusses the applications of plastics in daily life and jewelry. Just as our ancestors impacted the environment in which we live today, my work utilizes applications of plastics developed by others. It is clear that everything I have learned over the years has helped to cultivate my creativity and provided a starting point for future work. Chapter two is titled “Day Dreams – Imaginings” and Chapter three “Light - Dreamscape”. These look at two major color elements - “transparent space” and “florescent neon”, while also analyzing the use of color and forms. In addition, the wide range of materials I use enables me to showcase what I have learned from my creative journey, thereby providing an opportunity for greater self understanding.
