Summary: | 碩士 === 臺北市立教育大學 === 教育行政與評鑑研究所教育行政碩士學位在職進修專班 === 101 === This study aims to understand how the gender equality education committee organized and operated in Taipei city. Also wants to understand are there any differences on the committee’s operation between schools with different background.
The research data were collected through questionnaire survey. Also used the survey named “ the organizational structures and operations of Gender Equality education committee for the elementary school in Taipei city “ as research tool. The samples included 48 municipal elementary schools in Taipei. The questionnaires was given to the teachers, included homeroom teachers, subject teachers, teachers with administrative duties and deans, and the total of valid samples was 635. The collected data were analyzed by chi-square test、analysis of variance(ANOVA), and descriptive statistic.
Base on the result of analysis, the conclusions of this study were listed as below:
A、 The constituent of gender equality educational committee has a balance between the democracy and the professional.
1. The basic ability of the member in the gender equality education committee is above average, but their ability on proficiency can be strengthen.
2. Elementary school use multi-ways to look after both proficiency and representative
3. To ensure the percentage of female member can be replaced by the increase the number of homeroom teachers or the conscious of gender equality.
4. Base on the law to decide the term of the member, the number of the member and the way to elect the member of the committee.
B、 The performance of principals and teachers on the operation is positive and above average.
1. The principals’ performance on hosting the meeting and decision making is above average.
2. Overall teachers are confident to judge the gender equality affair. To prevent things from happening is accomplished greatly
3. All schools have great performances on ensure the procedure. The administrative remedy rarely be used.
C、 The operation of the committee in schools with different scale was greatly influenced by the leading model in the campus.
1. The positive behaviors in school with class number between 25 to 48 is obvious better than those schools with class number are above 49.
2. The scale of school and the number of member in the committee is in direct proportion; however most of the teachers hope the number of the member in the committee is under 16.
D、 The performance of organization and operation is affected by the attention that schools’ received. School with different location gets different level of attention.
1. School located at Northwest of Taipei area has more positive performances.
2. Schools located at Chung-Cheng, Wen-Shan, Nan-Kang, and Nei-Hu district still have room to improve their operation.
3. The organization’s operation are highly performed when teachers are aware of their decision of rejection and proceeding .
Base on the findings of this study, the researcher proposed several suggestions were made for the education administration, schools and future studies respectively.
