It also compares the differences among selected demographic variables on students’ learning motivation and effects and examines how students’ learning motivation correlates with their learning effects. Samples in this research are students in the 4th to 6th grades in Taipei City during the school year of 2011 summer to 2012 summer. Using stratified sampling and adapting the segmenting method used in the Taipei City Elementary School Athletic Meet, the researcher segmented elementary schools in Taipei into four groups, the East, the West, the South, and the North. Five schools in each corresponding group were randomly selected to make a total of 20 schools. Then, one class each from the 4th to 6th grade in each school was selected randomly. A total of 1,200 questionnaires were distributed with 1,126 valid questionnaires recovered and a response rate of 93.83%. “Questionnaire for Learning Motivation of Elementary School Students, a self-developed questionaire was used to collect data. Analyzing the data by SPSS for Windows 18.0; descriptive statistics, Independent Samples t-test, repeated measure one-way ANOVA, LSD post-hoc method, and Pearson product- moment correlation were computed, and below is the founding: 1. There are 5 factors that affect students’ learning motivation. The 5 factors ranking via importance are: “skills learning”, “demands for health”, “pleasure of leisure”, “peer relationship”, and “rewards for achievement”. Among them, students’ skills learning for PE class affects their learning motivation the most. 2. Grades, genders, attending or not attending the sports teams and doing exercises with different frequencies are significant factors for learning motivation. 3. There are 3 factors that affect students’ learning effects. The 3 factors ranking via importance are: “affection”, “skill”, and “cognition”. Among them, students’ affection for PE class affects their learning outcomes the most. 4. Genders, attending or not attending the sports teams and doing exercises with different frequencies are significant factors for learning effects. 5. Students’ learning motivation and learning effects are positively correlated. 陳顯宗 2013 學位論文 ; thesis zh-TW |
