Description
Summary:碩士 === 淡江大學 === 教育科技學系數位學習在職專班 === 101 === The purpose of the study is to investigate the effects of 7th grade students using WebQuest and peer assessment to improve their Chinese writing ability. 60 7th graders from two classes were assigned into two conditions (i.e. WebQuest with peer assessment and WebQeust without peer assessment). Students were given three different WebQuests to complete in three weeks. Data Collection included students writing artifacts, motivation survey, semi-structured interviews, feedback questionnaire, and teacher observation records. Data were analyzed with the t–test, one way ANCOVA and the Pearson Product-Moment Correlation. The results shows that students using WebQuest can improve their writing ability. Using WebQuest with peer assessment had no significant effects on writng ability, but had significant effects on writing motives. Based on the findings, suggestions and recommendations were made for further study. The result of the study shows that peer assessment has marked benefits on student performance. Further study is recommended in junior high school students over an increased period compared with other Chinese writing programs.
