| Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺北科技大學 === 電機工程系研究所 === 101 === With the multilevel coding, long block code can be combined by many short codes, and then decreasing the decoding complexity. It still has a problem with higher complexity, if the length of original block code is too long to make the combined codes short in the multilevel coding structure. Therefore, this thesis proposes a method to decrease the arithmetic complexity of a multilevel coding system with adding multilevel coding into each layer of the original system. The simulations show that the proposed way gives a lower complexity of the original system within a condition, keeping the same code rate.
